أصبُو إلى كل ذي جمالٍ

أصبُو إلى كل ذي جمالٍ

ولستُ من صبوتي أخافْ

ولستُ من صبوتي أخافْ

I am drawn to everyone endowed with beauty.

I yearn for all that is beautiful,

And I do not fear my yearning.

Yet I have no fear in my longing,

وليس بي في الهوى ارتيابٌ

وليس بي في الهوى ارتيابٌ

وإنما شيمتي العفاف

وإنما شيمتي العفاف

And I harbor no doubt in love.

I have no doubt in love,

And my nature is nothing but chastity.

For modesty is my nature.
