قد أنعمَ اللهُ على مصرَ ومنّ

بنعمةٍ تعدُّ من أسْنى المِننْ

God has indeed blessed Egypt and bestowed His favor,

God has blessed Egypt and gave it

With a blessing counted among the loftiest gifts.

A blessing that counts among the best gifts

وفق إسماعيل وهو المؤتمنْ

وفق إسماعيل وهو المؤتمنْ

فمن يُسامى صادقَ الوعدِ فمنْ

فمن يُسامى صادقَ الوعدِ فمنْ

He granted success to Isma'il, the trusted one;

He supported Ismail, who is the trusted one

So who can rival the one true to his promise—who?

So who would compete with the truthful in his promise?

كم ظهرتْ في عهده مفاخرْ

كم ظهرتْ في عهده مفاخرْ

فاقتْ به الأوائلُ الأواخرْ

فاقتْ به الأوائلُ الأواخرْ

How many glories have appeared during his reign!

Under his rule many glories appeared

Through him, the earlier ones surpassed the later ones.

The early times and the later times were surpassed

برُّ الندى كالنيل وهو زاخرْ

برُّ الندى كالنيل وهو زاخرْ

يجودُ فيضُه بإسعاد الوطن

يجودُ فيضُه بإسعاد الوطن

His generous kindness is like the Nile in full flood;

The dew of prosperity is like the Nile, abundant

Its flood lavishes happiness upon the homeland.

Its bounty flows to make the nation happy

في مصره كل المزايا حازها

في مصره كل المزايا حازها

والعدلُ في أيامه الغرِّ زها

والعدلُ في أيامه الغرِّ زها

In his Egypt, he has gained every distinction.

In his Egypt, it has gained all merits

And justice flourished in his radiant days.

And justice, in his days it took root

وقد أجادَ للعلا إعزازها

وقد أجادَ للعلا إعزازها

وخَاطِبُ الحَسْنا يغالي في الثمنْ

وخَاطِبُ الحَسْنا يغالي في الثمنْ

And he has excelled in honoring greatness;

He mastered honoring knowledge

And the suitor of beauty bids a lavish price.

And the orator exaggerates its price

أيامه جميعُها مواسمُ

أيامه جميعُها مواسمُ

نواسمُ الأنس بها بواسمُ

نواسمُ الأنس بها بواسمُ

All his days are festive seasons;

His days are all blessed seasons

The breezes of delight smile within them.

Seasons of intimacy, in it are intimacies

وكم له حول الحمى مراسمُ

وكم له حول الحمى مراسمُ

تجري بعدله إلى أهدى سنن

تجري بعدله إلى أهدى سنن

And how many decrees he has concerning the realm,

And he has around the sanctuary many rituals

Proceeding through his justice toward the truest paths.

That flow with his justice to the best traditions

في دولة الأمانِ والأماني

في دولة الأمانِ والأماني

عزُّ الحمى لديه في ضمانِ

عزُّ الحمى لديه في ضمانِ

In a reign of safety and hopes,

In the state of security and hopes

The realm's glory is assured in his keeping.

The pride of the sanctuary lies in his guarantee

فالذهبُ الأكسيرُ كالجمانِ

فالذهبُ الأكسيرُ كالجمانِ

عن جابرٍ يروى غِنى هذا الزمنْ

عن جابرٍ يروى غِنى هذا الزمنْ

Thus gold, the elixir, is like pearls;

So gold is like elixir

The wealth of this age is recounted on Jabir's authority.

As Jabir narrates the richness of this time

لا غروَ أن توالت الأفراحُ

لا غروَ أن توالت الأفراحُ

وقد زها الأنسُ والانشراحُ

وقد زها الأنسُ والانشراحُ

No wonder that joys have come in succession,

No wonder that joys kept coming

And delight and gladness have flourished.

And intimacy and comfort adorned it

ودار في روح التهاني راحُ

ودار في روح التهاني راحُ

وغردَ القمريُّ على أعلى فَننْ

وغردَ القمريُّ على أعلى فَننْ

And wine has gone round in the spirit of congratulations,

And the spirit of congratulations rested in it

And the turtledove has sung on the highest bough.

And the moon-like one sang at the highest art

عرسُ المشير ثالثِ الأنجالِ

عرسُ المشير ثالثِ الأنجالِ

في غاية التبجيلِ والجمالِ

في غاية التبجيلِ والجمالِ

The wedding of the marshal, the third of the sons,

The wedding of the third son of the Marshal

Is at the height of honor and beauty.

Is the utmost veneration and beauty

وصف سَناه واسعُ المجالِ

وصف سَناه واسعُ المجالِ

يَكِلُّ عن بيانه أولو اللُّسنْ

يَكِلُّ عن بيانه أولو اللُّسنْ

The scope for describing its radiance is vast;

Describing his loveliness has ample range

Those gifted with eloquence fall short of expressing it.

That makes eloquent tongues weary in expressing it

فراحُه في أقفَنا كواكبُ

فراحُه في أقفَنا كواكبُ

أنوارُها تزهو بها مواكبُ

أنوارُها تزهو بها مواكبُ

So his wine is stars in our sky;

Its joys in our horizons are like planets

Processions glow with their lights.

Its lights adorned with it processions

وأنعمٌ من جوده سواكبُ

وأنعمٌ من جوده سواكبُ

في السر درُّها وفي العلنْ

في السر درُّها وفي العلنْ

And blessings from his generosity pour down;

And gifts of his generosity are planets

Their flow comes in secret and in the open.

Whose pearls are secret and whose are public

يتيه عجباً حَسنٌ بعُرسِه

يتيه عجباً حَسنٌ بعُرسِه

كعجبهِ قدماً بعالى دَرْسِه

كعجبهِ قدماً بعالى دَرْسِه

Hasan exults in pride at his wedding,

Amazement is lost in the beauty of his wedding

As he once took pride in his lofty learning.

Like amazement at the height of his position

فليقتطفْ داني الجنى من غرسه

فليقتطفْ داني الجنى من غرسه

كما اجتنى من العلوم كلَّ فنْ

كما اجتنى من العلوم كلَّ فنْ

So let him pluck the fruit within reach from his planting,

So let the intimate pluck fruits from his planting

Just as he gathered every branch of learning from the sciences.

As he has gathered from knowledge every art

نسيمُ أنس عرسِه هبَّتْ رخا

نسيمُ أنس عرسِه هبَّتْ رخا

ومن غَوالي طيبه شَممْنا الرخا

ومن غَوالي طيبه شَممْنا الرخا

The breeze of delight at his wedding blew gently;

The gentle breeze of the intimacy of his wedding blew

And from his precious perfumes we breathed the scent of incense wood.

And from its beauty vales we smelled the scent

من حاسدِ عوَّذه من أرخا

من حاسدِ عوَّذه من أرخا

بالحسنين عوذوا صفواً حسن

بالحسنين عوذوا صفواً حسن

He who recorded the date invoked protection for him against an envier:

From an envious one, his protected him from harm

By Hasan and Husayn, invoke protection for Hasan, the pure one.

With beauty they ward off one of beautiful traits
