How wondrous a marriage-bond, its joys so lofty!
They are radiant stars in the heaven of the luminaries.
عجباًhow wondrous! لهاat them وهيwhile they are البدورُthe full moons وأشرقتْand shone

معها الشموسُ دُجى وهن سوافرُ
How wondrous they are—full moons! And there shone
Beside them, through darkness, suns with faces unveiled.

As though they gloried in Zaynab’s adornment,
For her necklaces are jewels upon their necks.
