فأثمارُ التهاني دانياتٌ

لجانيها وليس لها خفيرُ

So the fruits of congratulations are within reach

For their gatherer, with no guard over them.

وأقمارُ الأماني طالعاتٌ

وأقمارُ الأماني طالعاتٌ

لرائيها فدونك يا بصيرُ

لرائيها فدونك يا بصيرُ

And the moons of wishes are rising

For their beholder—so behold, O keen-sighted one!

وآرامُ الغواني راتعاتٌ

وآرامُ الغواني راتعاتٌ

بوادي الأنس ليس بها نفورُ

بوادي الأنس ليس بها نفورُ

And gazelle-like beauties graze at ease

In the valley of delight, with none taking flight.

وأنهارٌ من الجنات تجري

وأنهارٌ من الجنات تجري

يحيط بها من الأشجارِ سورُ

يحيط بها من الأشجارِ سورُ

And rivers from the gardens flow;

A wall of trees surrounds them.

ومن غيم البحور لنا سماءٌ

ومن غيم البحور لنا سماءٌ

وأنجمنا مصابيحٌ تنير

وأنجمنا مصابيحٌ تنير

And from the clouds of the seas we have a sky,

And our stars are lamps that shine.

فدونك دُرٌّ ورَدِّدْ منك لحظاً

فدونك دُرٌّ ورَدِّدْ منك لحظاً

بمرأىً ماله أبداً نظير

بمرأىً ماله أبداً نظير

So pearls lie before you; cast your gaze again and again

Upon a sight that has no equal, ever;

بمرأىً جلَّ إحساناً وحُسنا

بمرأىً جلَّ إحساناً وحُسنا

وكملَ حُسنَه حُسنُ الأمير

وكملَ حُسنَه حُسنُ الأمير

Upon a sight sublime in excellence and beauty,

And the prince’s beauty perfected its beauty.

أميرُ قد غدا في حُسن قولٍ

أميرُ قد غدا في حُسن قولٍ

وفعلٍ نحوَه كلٌ يُشير

وفعلٍ نحوَه كلٌ يُشير

A prince who has become, for excellence in speech

And deed, the one to whom all point.

له في دولةِ الإقبال عرسٌ

له في دولةِ الإقبال عرسٌ

به أيامنا عيدٌ كبير

به أيامنا عيدٌ كبير

For him, in the reign of good fortune, there is a wedding;

Through it, our days are one great festival.

به الأفراحُ قد عمتْ وخصت

به الأفراحُ قد عمتْ وخصت

بما يهوى كبيرٌ أو صغير

بما يهوى كبيرٌ أو صغير

Through it, joys have embraced all and each,

With what both old and young desire.

فكم من لذةٍ فيه أقيمتْ

فكم من لذةٍ فيه أقيمتْ

بها حاز المنى الجمُّ الغفير

بها حاز المنى الجمُّ الغفير

So many pleasures have been provided there,

Through which a vast multitude attained their wishes.

وكم من ليلةٍ بالأمس مرت

وكم من ليلةٍ بالأمس مرت

وما مرتْ وكوكبها منير

وما مرتْ وكوكبها منير

And many a night passed in days gone by,

Yet it did not pass, its star shining bright.

بها تُهْدَى الكريمةُ من ذراها

بها تُهْدَى الكريمةُ من ذراها

لكفءٍ وهْوَ للعَلْيا وزير

لكفءٍ وهْوَ للعَلْيا وزير

In it, the noble lady is led from her lofty abode

To a worthy match, a minister in the service of lofty honor.
