How could a doll accept you, when beauty has bestowed
How can you be pleased by a doll that has discarded

Her life's dawn has not yet broken, yet already there appears
The dawn of its life has not shone, though there has shone

وبنفسي بقيةٌ من شبابي
And in my heart the fire of passion blazes,
And in my heart there burns the fire of love,
and in my soul a remnant of my youth remains.
And in my soul remains some of my youth.
