ذهبَ الصِّبا وخبا شهابُه
Cease your reproach; its torment is enough.
Enough! No more blame! The torment was enough.
Youth has gone, and its meteor has dimmed.
Youth has gone and the meteors have dimmed.

قد طالَ في الدنيا عتابُه
How strange, your reproach of one
What a wonder your reproach is to the one
whose reproach in this world has lasted so long.
Whose reproach in the world was prolonged.

Come, read the secrets of a heart
Come! Read the secrets of a heart
whose veil was torn by longing.
Torn with love - how heavy were its veils!

Tell him: what is the way
Say to him, how can one reach consolation,
to consolation, and where is its gate?
And where is the door to it?
