إِنَّindeed عاماًa year صِرتَyou became فيهِin it أَميراًa ruler
إِنَّ عاماً صِرتَ فيهِ أَميراً
يَخطبُhe addresses الناسَthe people لَعامٌsurely a year عُجابُastonishing
يَخطبُ الناسَ لَعامٌ عُجابُ
Indeed, a year in which you became a ruler
who addresses the people is surely an astonishing year.
سادَhe ruled over عُبّاداworshippers وَمُلِّكَand he was given command of جَيشاًan army
سادَ عُبّادا وَمُلِّكَ جَيشاً
سَبَّحتglorified God مِنat ذاكَthat صُمَّsolid rocks صِلابُhard
سَبَّحت مِن ذاكَ صُمَّ صِلابُ
He ruled over worshippers and was given command of an army;
at that, solid, hard rocks glorified God.
