الحبlove فيin عرشthe throne of النفوسthe souls مقامهits dwelling
الحب في عرش النفوس مقامه
ونفوسand the souls of أهلpeople of الحبlove كالأفلاكlike the celestial spheres
ونفوس أهل الحب كالأفلاك
Love has its dwelling on the throne of souls,
Love on the throne of souls has its abode
and lovers' souls are like the celestial spheres.
And lovers' souls are like the turning spheres
لاno قوةpower تستطيعcan مسtouch جنابهاtheir domain
لا قوة تستطيع مس جنابها
ولوand even if انهاthat it بلغتreached علاthe heights of الأملاكthe angels
ولو انها بلغت علا الأملاك
No power can touch their domain,
No power can touch its sublime essence
even were it to reach the heights of the angels.
Though it ascended to the highest heaven's heights
