O Ma‘ruf, you have consoled the lovesick heart,
I knew you would comfort the heart of the lover
and healed a wound that shattered Mary's soul.
And heal a wound that tore open the chest of Maryam

Necklaces of pearls, nothing greater

So here you are, a remedy without need of ointment

You recognized where the sickness was from her own soul
so you healed her every wound with balm.
So you healed every wound in it with balm

You are not Jesus to say to him "Rise!"
