قد سعينا وراء مجد وفخر

Indeed, we strove after glory and pride,

We have sought glory and pride,

And we built homes and palaces,

And built mansions and palaces,

وتركنا جميع ذاك بحكم ال

وتركنا جميع ذاك بحكم ال

له واليوم قد سكنا القبورا

له واليوم قد سكنا القبورا

And we left all that behind by the decree of

Yet we've left all that behind, by God's will,

God; and today we have settled in the graves.

And today we reside in tombs.
