رسومنا تفنى واجسامنا
تبلىdecay وهذيand this سنةthe law الكونof the universe
تبلى وهذي سنة الكون
Our forms perish, and our bodies
decay; and this is the law of the universe.
وليسand not يبقىremains غيرother than اثارناour works
وليس يبقى غير اثارنا
منwho ليfor me باثارwith works بهاthrough them صونيmy preservation
من لي باثار بها صوني
And nothing remains but our works.
Who will grant me works by which I may be preserved?
