Our companions in Egypt have forsaken

Our friends in Egypt have neglected

their companions, taking memory for company.

Their friends, and taken remembrance as their companion.

وضمنوا ان نلتقي بعد ذا

and pledged that after this we would meet

And guaranteed that we would meet after this

for fellowship at the other rendezvous.

For companionship in the promised life to come.
