فماyet not زلتI ceased ارعىI cherish الودaffection فيin البعدseparation كالقربas in closeness
فما زلت ارعى الود في البعد كالقرب
Even if you have grown content with separation,
Though you've grown content with distance,
I still cherish affection in separation as in closeness.
I still nurture affection from afar as if near.
وإنand if كنتyou were ياO ربmaster of الوفاfidelity لستyou are not ناسياforgetting
وإن كنت يا رب الوفا لست ناسيا
فأينthen where حلاواتsweet delights الرسائلthe messages والكتبand the letters
فأين حلاوات الرسائل والكتب
And if you, O master of fidelity, have not forgotten,
And though, O keeper of loyalty, I'm not forgotten,
then where are the sweet delights of messages and letters?
