ولديكand beside you الأصبهانيal-Isbahani معوزimpoverished
ولديك الأصبهاني معوز
Do not plead inability, for you are the wonder-worker.
Do not say you cannot, for you are a miracle
And beside you, al-Isbahani is impoverished.
Though Al-Asbahani is in need
حزتyou have acquired علمknowledge الناسhumankind طرّاall فلناso for us
حزت علم الناس طرّا فلنا
كلevery يومday كنزa treasure فضلexcellence تبرزyou bring forth
كل يوم كنز فضل تبرز
You have gathered the knowledge of all humankind, so for us
You have acquired all kinds of knowledge
each day you bring forth a treasure of excellence.
Revealing to us each day treasures of virtue
ياO إمامleader العصرthe age ياO ربmaster الحجىintellect
يا إمام العصر يا رب الحجى
كلall مدحpraise فيكof you قولٌan utterance موجزُbrief
كل مدح فيك قولٌ موجزُ
O leader of the age, O master of intellect,
O Imam of the age, O Lord of pilgrimage
All praise of you is but a brief utterance.
