فَحُبُّكِ أَنساني الشَرابَ وَبَردَهُ

فَحُبُّكِ أَنساني الشَرابَ وَبَردَهُ

وَحُبُّكِ أَبكاني بِكُلِّ مَكانِ

وَحُبُّكِ أَبكاني بِكُلِّ مَكانِ

So love of you made me forget drink and its coolness.

Your love intoxicated me with its drink and its chill

And love of you made me weep in every place.

And your love made me weep in every place

وَحُبُّكِ أَنساني الصَلاةَ فَلَم أَقُم

وَحُبُّكِ أَنساني الصَلاةَ فَلَم أَقُم

لِرَبّي بِتَسبيحٍ وَلا بِقُرانِ

لِرَبّي بِتَسبيحٍ وَلا بِقُرانِ

And love of you made me forget prayer, so I did not stand

And your love made me forget the prayer so I did not stand

for my Lord in glorification or recitation of the Qur’an.
