أُحِبُّكِI love you حُبّاًa love لَوif تُحِبّينَyou love مِثلَهُthe like of it
أُحِبُّكِ حُبّاً لَو تُحِبّينَ مِثلَهُ
أَصابَكِwould strike you مِنfrom وَجدٍardent longing عَلَيَّfor me جُنونُmadness
أَصابَكِ مِن وَجدٍ عَلَيَّ جُنونُ
I love you with a love that, were you to love its like,
I love you with a love that if you loved the same
Madness would strike you from longing for me.
You would be struck with the madness that afflicts me
وَصِرتُand I have become بِقَلبٍwith a heart عاشَlived أَمّاas for نَهارُهُits day
وَصِرتُ بِقَلبٍ عاشَ أَمّا نَهارُهُ
فَحُزنٌthen sorrow وَأَمّاand as for لَيلُهُits night فَأَنينُthen moaning
فَحُزنٌ وَأَمّا لَيلُهُ فَأَنينُ
And I have come to have a heart that lives: as for its day,
And you would live with a heart whose days are sorrow
It is sorrow; and as for its night, it is moaning.
And whose nights are moaning
