وَجاؤوا إِلَيهِ بِالتَعاويذِ وَالرُقى

وَجاؤوا إِلَيهِ بِالتَعاويذِ وَالرُقى

وَصَبّوا عَلَيهِ الماءَ مِن أَلَمِ النُكسِ

وَصَبّوا عَلَيهِ الماءَ مِن أَلَمِ النُكسِ

And they came to him with protective charms and incantations.

And they poured water over him because of the pain of his relapse.

وَقالوا بِهِ مِن أَعيُنِ الجِنِّ نَظرَةٌ

وَقالوا بِهِ مِن أَعيُنِ الجِنِّ نَظرَةٌ

وَلَو عَقَلوا قالوا بِهِ نَظرَةُ الإِنسِ

وَلَو عَقَلوا قالوا بِهِ نَظرَةُ الإِنسِ

And they said, “A glance from the eyes of the jinn afflicts him.”

And had they understood, they would have said, “A human glance afflicts him.”
