لَعُمرِ أَبيها إِنَّها لَبَخيلَة

لَعُمرِ أَبيها إِنَّها لَبَخيلَة

وَمِن قَولِ واشٍ إِنَّها لَغَضوبُ

وَمِن قَولِ واشٍ إِنَّها لَغَضوبُ

By her father's life, she is indeed miserly.

By her father's life, she is stingy

And at a talebearer's words, she is indeed quick to anger.

And by the words of a slanderer, she is angry

رَمَتنِيَ عَن قَوسِ العَداوَةِ إِنَّها

رَمَتنِيَ عَن قَوسِ العَداوَةِ إِنَّها

إِذا ما رَأَتني مُعرِضاً لَخَلوبُ

إِذا ما رَأَتني مُعرِضاً لَخَلوبُ

She shot at me with the bow of enmity; indeed, she

She shot me from the bow of enmity, she

is beguiling whenever she sees me turning away.

When she saw me turn away, became furious
