أَمسَتreached evening وُشاتُكَyour slanderers قَدalready دَبَّتcrept عَقارِبُهاtheir scorpions
أَمسَت وُشاتُكَ قَد دَبَّت عَقارِبُها
وَقَدand indeed رَمَوكَthey aimed at you بِعَينِwith a gaze الغِشِّdeceit وَاِبتَدَرواand rushed forward
وَقَد رَمَوكَ بِعَينِ الغِشِّ وَاِبتَدَروا
By evening, your slanderers’ scorpions had begun to creep.
Your companions have passed the evening
And they had cast a deceitful gaze at you and rushed forward.
And they have plotted against you, taking advantage
تُريكَshow you أَعيُنُهُمtheir eyes ماwhat فيin صُدورِهِمُtheir breasts
تُريكَ أَعيُنُهُم ما في صُدورِهِمُ
إِنَّindeed الصُدورَthe breasts يُؤَدّيreveals غَيبَهاtheir hidden contents النَظَرُthe gaze
إِنَّ الصُدورَ يُؤَدّي غَيبَها النَظَرُ
