أَبَتrefused لَيلَةٌa night بِالغَيلِat al-Ghayl ياO أُمَّmother of مالِكٍMalik
أَبَت لَيلَةٌ بِالغَيلِ يا أُمَّ مالِكٍ
لَكُمfor you (plural) غَيرَother than حُبٍّlove صادِقٍsincere لَيسَdoes not يَكذِبُlie
لَكُم غَيرَ حُبٍّ صادِقٍ لَيسَ يَكذِبُ
A night at al-Ghayl, O Umm Malik, denied
The night refused dusk, O mother of Malik
you all but sincere love that does not lie.
You have nothing but sincere love that does not lie
