وَذو العَرشِ فَوقَ المُقسِمينَ رَقيبُ
I swore to her by the two sacred sites and Zamzam,
I swore to her by Mashʿar and Zamzam,
And the Lord of the Throne watches over those who swear oaths:
And He who sits above the sworn, a watcher,
لَئِنif indeed كانَis بَردُcoolness الماءِthe water حَرّانَparched صادِياًthirsty
لَئِن كانَ بَردُ الماءِ حَرّانَ صادِياً
إِلَيَّto me حَبيباًdear إِنَّهاindeed she لَحَبيبُsurely dear
إِلَيَّ حَبيباً إِنَّها لَحَبيبُ
If indeed the coolness of water, when I am parched and thirsty,
If the coolness of water ran hot for me,
Is dear to me, she is surely dear.
Drawing a lover to me, she is my lover.
