بَليغٌeloquent إِذاwhen يَشكوhe complains of إِلىto غَيرَهاanyone other than her الهَوىlove
بَليغٌ إِذا يَشكو إِلى غَيرَها الهَوى
وَإِنand if هُوَhe لاقاهاhe meets her فَغَيرُthen not بَليغِeloquent
وَإِن هُوَ لاقاها فَغَيرُ بَليغِ
He is eloquent when he laments his love to anyone but her;
Eloquent when to others his passion complains,
But if he meets her, he is not eloquent.
Though with her should he plead, eloquence wanes.
