إِذاif أَنتَyou لَمdid not تَنفَعhelp فَضُرَّthen do harm فَإِنَّماfor it is only
إِذا أَنتَ لَم تَنفَع فَضُرَّ فَإِنَّما
يُرَجّىis relied upon الفَتىthe young man كَيماso that يَضُرَّhe may harm وَيَنفَعاand he may help
يُرَجّى الفَتى كَيما يَضُرَّ وَيَنفَعا
If you do not help, then do harm; for it is only
If you cannot benefit, then do no harm, for
to harm and help that a young man is relied upon.
A young man is hoped for only to harm or benefit.
