واعصِ اصْطبارَكَ إن تكفَّل أَنّه

لك مُسعدٌ فالهجرُ يُظهر حُوبَهُ

Preserve my patience if it is guaranteed

For you a happiness so separation reveals its sweetness

وبِحَسْب قلبِك ما بِه من حُبِّهم

فَعلامَ تَقرفُ بالصدود نُدوبَهُ

And according to your heart what's in it of their love

So why do you detest with estrangement its yearning
