I visit your grave while the trees prevent me
From finding my way when I want to leave
So I see nothing but piled up stones
That contain you and the abode of the pearl oyster
So I bend down not knowing where I will end up
As if I were lost wandering in the night
If life was too short for me to see an offspring
To replace you then with God there is reward for me
I say to myself when the conflict intensifies within
Oh self, woe to you, where is the family and the ancestors?
Is this not the path of all creation
And all of them admit to dying
How much is this sorrow or how much is this yearning, and can
He who the grave covers with its heaviness be returned
