إذا صاحبتَ عَمْراً في طريقٍ

فقد سَايَرْتَ ظِلَّكَ في الطّرِيقِ

If you have accompanied a lifetime on a path

Then you have accompanied your shadow on the path

فإن لم تلقَ إنساناً سِواهُ

تُرافِقُهُ فأنتَ بلاَ رَفِيقِ

If you do not find anyone other than him

To accompany him, then you are without a companion
