The home where you dwelled has become desolate without you
It is empty now of inhabitants and neighbors
What used to make me laugh and bring me joy yesterday
Now stirs my troubles and makes me weep
I knew it as a place where people gathered for fun
A playground for friends and little children
But now there is nothing left that I knew
Except an echo whenever I call out longing for you
