He turned away, showing signs of boredom,
My affection in him was lost to suspicion and doubt.
He broke his vow, rarely keeping true,
To virtue, or honoring trusts and promises.
He shut me out, so I began to shun
Sleep, fearing rejection even in my dreams.
I know not what I did, other than
In passion for him, lose sight of reason.
