To where do I wander the earth without purpose

And my journey through the countries without rest

As if I am in this life a mote in the eye

That wanders through its regions and roams

I live in it with the lightning flash of life fleeting

And I tread the land of bliss while it passes

And there is no escape from the sorrows of life

Except through death, uncertain and feared
