أنَا تاجُ فُرسانِ الهِيَاجِ ومَن بِهِمْ

ثَبتتْ أوَاخِي مُلكِ كلِّ مُتوَّجِ

I am the crown of the champions of passion, and through them

The foundations of every crowned kingdom were made firm.

قومٌ إذا لَبِسُوا الحَدِيدَ عجِبْتَ مِن

بَحرٍ تدافَعَ في لَظىً مُتوهِّجِ

A people, when they donned armor, you would be amazed

By a sea surging wildly in heated tumult.

صُبُرٌ إذا ما ضاقَ مُعتَركُ القَنا

فَرجَتْ سيوفُهمُ مَضِيقَ المنْهَجِ

Patience, when the field of battle narrowed,

Their swords would widen the straits of the pass.

وإذا رجوتَهُمُ لنصرٍ صدَّقُوا

بعظيمِ بأسهِمُ رجاءَ المُرتجِي

And if you hoped for their aid in victory, they would confirm

With their tremendous might the hopes of the seeker.
