  1. لم يَبْقَ لي في هَواكُمُ أَربُ

    سَلوتُكُم والقلوبُ تَنقِلبُ

    I have no desire left for your love,

    I bid you farewell though hearts always return.

  2. وضعتُ عَنّي أثقالَ حُبّكُمُ

    وحَامِلُ الحبّ مُثقَلٌ تَعِبُ

    I have removed from myself the burdens of your love,

    The bearer of love is heavily burdened and tired.

  3. وِرْدي قَذَى ودّكُم وغَضّيَ أج

    فانِي عليه من فِعلِكُم عَجَبُ

    My flowers are thorns, your affection bitter aloe,

    Yet I am still amazed by your actions.

  4. إلامَ دَمعي من هَجرِكم سَرِبٌ

    قَانٍ وقَلبي من غَدرِكم يَجِبُ

    Why do tears from your separation still flow,

    While my heart from your betrayal still throbs?

  5. إن كَان هَذا لأَن تَعبَّدَنِي ال

    حُبُّ فَقد أعْتَقَتْنيَ الرّيَبُ

    If this is because love has enslaved me,

    Then doubts have surely freed me.

  6. أَرَيتُمونِي نَهجَ السُّلُوِّ وَقَدْ

    كانَتْ بِيَ الطّرْقُ عَنهُ تَنْشَعِبُ

    You saw me take the path of passion, though

    The roads away from it were manifold.

  7. أحببْتكُمُ فَوق ما توهّمَه النْ

    نَاسُ وخُنْتُم أضْعافَ مَا حَسِبُوا

    I loved you beyond what people imagined,

    And you betrayed far more than they guessed.
