O Abu Hasan, in the fold of every misfortune,

There is kindness from God for His servants.

Yesterday, I disliked your traveling, but perhaps

A youth will benefit from a long stay by departing.

A man may dislike something when it is better for him

And like something when it is worthless.

Even if you gain only jihad, its reward

Is great, as the Book has described.

How then, when you have become a neighbor of Majid,

Who bestows on the eminent and gives freely?

Noble, barely glancing at the faults of his neighbor.

His glance in requesting is not miserly.

He bought praise with wealth, not content

In buying it, nor stingy toward the seller.

He who helps the faith - his side

Is vast, and his shade is shady.

When our hopes reach the sea of his generosity,

They draw fresh water with no brackishness.

So trust in God, then in his generosity,

For I guarantee what I hope from him.
