مَنَعَ النَومَ ذِكرَةٌ
مِن حَبيبٍ مُفارِقِ
Sleeplessness kept me awake
With memories of a departed beloved
نازِحِ الدارِ عَن دِيا
رِكِ وَالقَلبُ شائِقي
Who left his home behind
While my heart still longs for him
سالِكاتٍ عَنِ البَلا
طِ سِراعِ النَواهِقِ
Travelers going away from home
Their tall, slender bodies swaying
فيهِمُ بَحتَرِيَّةٌ
مِثلُ عَينِ المُعانِقِ
Among them is Umm Khaled
Her tent pitched between Al-Safa and Al-Marwa
نَوِّلي أُمَّ خالِدٍ
قَبلَ بَينِ الصَفائِقِ
Indeed my heart finds relief
In nothing but thoughts of you
إِنَّ قَلبي إِخالُهُ
عَنكُمُ غَيرَ عائِقِ
