O Abda's home amid the sand dunes and hills
Send back my greetings, for you have stirred my yearning
A home for Abda, though its dwellers are now few
Tears of sorrow flow, no lies can dry their welling
I call you, while my years still laugh though my feet fail
I pray the lover's prayer in all its fervent feeling
