I see you, O Hind, distancing yourself from me

Weakening our bond to sever my hopes

Hind has obeyed the slanderers against me

Now you see me like a mangy dog

O Hind, do not deny us your gifts

Be sparing in blame and leave off

Some of the anger and wrath against me

Grant us a delay to your promise

Then keep true faith, for lies have no good

She said: your appointment is at the new moon

On the first ten days past Rajab
