طَيِّبِ الريقَةِ وَالنَك
هَةِ كَالراحِ القَطيبِ
Of sweet saliva and soft cheek
Like the cool breeze of the north wind
واضِحِ اللَبَّةِ وَالسُن
نَةِ كَالظَبيِ الرَبيبِ
With bright lips and white teeth
Like a tender fawn
مُخطَفِ الكَشحَينِ عاري ال
صُلبِ ذي دَلٍّ عَجيبِ
With snatched sideburns, smooth chest
With amazing allure
مُشبَعِ الخَلخالِ وَالقُل
بَينِ صَيّادِ القُلوبِ
Adorned wrists and heart
Hunter of hearts
قَد سَبَتني بِشَتيتِ ال
نَبتِ في سَقطٍ كَثيبِ
Who captivated me with the torment of love
In a high sand dune
حَبَّذا ذاكَ غَزالاً
قَد شَفى قَرحَ نُدوبي
Blessed is that gazelle
Who healed the scars of my wounds
وَجَزاني بِهَوائي
وَثَنائي في المَغيبِ
And rewarded me for my passion and praise in absence
And indeed I lamented from love of you
وَلَقَد أَشفَقتُ مِن حُب
بِكُمُ أَقضي نَحيبي
I sigh my sorrows
Know my heart is everyday
إِنَّ قَلبي فَاِعلَميهِ
كُلَّ يَومٍ في وَجيبِ
In your bosom
How can I be patient from a girl
كَيفَ صَبري عَن فَتاةٍ
أَحسَنِ الناسِ لَعوبِ
Most delightful of people to play with
Rosy cheeked, cheeked with beauty
صَلتَةِ الخَدَّينِ خَودٍ
خَلَطَت حُسناً بِطيبِ
Mixed with pleasant fragrance
