إِلى اللَهِ أُهديَ مِدحَتي وَثَنائِيا

وَقَولاً رَصيناً لا يَني الدَهرَ باقِيا

To God I dedicate my praise and eulogy

And eloquent words that will not fade away

إِلى المَلكِ الأَعلى الَّذي لَيسَ فَوقَهُ

إِلَهٌ وَلا رَبٌّ يَكونُ مُدانِيا

To the Highest King above whom there is no

God or Lord who could be my judge

وَأَشهَدُ أَنَّ اللَهَ لا شَيءَ فَوقَهُ

عَلِيّاً وَأَمسى ذِكرُهُ مُتَعاليا

And I bear witness that nothing is above God

Exalted and sublime is His remembrance

أَلا أَيُّها الإِنسانُ إِياكَ وَالرَدى

فَإِنَّكَ لا تُخفي مِنَ اللَهِ خافِيا

O man beware of moral decline

For you cannot hide anything from God

وَإِياكَ لا تَجعَل مَعَ اللَهِ غَيرَهُ

فَإِن سَبيلَ الرُشدِ أَصبَحَ بادِيا

And beware not to set up with God another

For the path of righteousness is clear
