خَليفَةَ اللَهِ الَّذي

آراؤُهُ مَوَفَّقَه

The caliph of Allah whose

opinions are well-guided

وَمَن أُمورُ الدينِ وَال

دُنيا بِهِ مُتَّسِقَه

And who looks after matters of religion and

worldly affairs so they are in agreement

وَمَن إِذا آنَسَ في ال

إِسلامِ فَتقاً رَتَقَه

And who when he sees any weakness

in Islam, he mends it

بِحَقِّ مَن صَدَّقَ ما

أَمَّلتُهُ وَحَقَّقَه

By the right of the one who proved true what

I hoped for and realized it

أَطبِق أَبا سَعدٍ وَخُذ

مِنهُ قَراحَ الطَبَقَه

Imprison Abu Sa'd and take

from him the agony of imprisonment

حَتّى تُرى أَحشاؤُهُ

بِغَيظِها مُمَزَّقَه

Until you see his entrails

torn apart in rage

يُمسي عَلى المُوَرِّقِي

يِ عَينُهُ مُؤَرَّقَه

He will spend the night with eyes

sleepless and weeping

وَاِستَخرِجِ المالَ الَّذي

جَمَّعَهُ وَاِرتَفَقَه

And extract the money which

he gathered and amassed

حَصَّلَهُ خِيانَةً

طَوراً وَطوراً سَرِقَه

He collected it through betrayal

bit by bit and stole it

لا تَجِبُ الزَكاةُ في

أَمثالِهِ وَالصَدَقَه

Alms and charity are not obligatory

on the likes of him

جَمَعَّهُ وَأَنتَ أَو

لى أَن تَكونَ مُنفِقَه

He gathered it while you are more

deserving to spend it

وَاِستَجلِها جُرداً صِحا

حاً وُزَّناً مُحَقَّقَه

And display him bare, pure

and proven guilty

مِثلَ الوُجوهِ البَدَوِيّا

تِ الحِسانِ المُشرِقَه

Like the radiant beautiful bedouin faces

As if from their beauty

كَأَنَّها مِن حُسنِها

رَوضَةُ حَزنٍ مُؤنِقَه

is a grieving garden brought to bloom

And unleash your horsemen on

وَسَلِّطِ الخَرجَ عَلى

جُموعِها وَالنَفَقَه

his groups and supplies

Until you see them separated

حَتّى تَراها وَهيَ في

أَربابِها مُفَرَّقَه

amongst their lords
