رَبُّ الزَمانِ أَجَلُّ قَد

راً أَن يُهَنّى بِالزَمانِ

The Lord of Time is glorious indeed

Too exalted to be affected by time

لَكِنَّها العاداتُ في

رَفعِ المَدائِحِ وَالتَهاني

Yet it is custom to praise

And congratulate the king

مَلِكٌ تَدينُ لِأَمرِهِ ال

ثَقَلانِ مِن إِنسٍ وَجانِ

Whose rule the worlds of man and spirit obey

Who shows clemency and pardon to all

يَلقى النَدى وَالعَفوَ عَف

واً عِندَهُ جانٍ وَجاني

Wrongdoer and wronged alike seek his forgiveness

His conduct has brought people safety

أَضحى بِسيرَتِهِ الأَنامُ

مِنَ الحَوادِثِ في أَمانِ

From the trials of fate

His resolute hands and determined efforts

أَفنى بِذابِلِهِ وَنا

ئِلِهِ الأَعادِيَ وَالأَماني

Have thwarted enemies and ambitions

You remain protected, your lofty pillars

لا زِلتَ مَحفوظَ العُلى

عالي الدَعائِمِ وَالمَباني

And buildings ever preserved

Green pastures and reddened mountains

جَذلانَ مُخضَرَّ النَدى

وَالعودِ مُحمَرَّ السِنانِ

Grace your springtime visage

No blemish marks the radiant face

ما اِفتَرَّ في وَجهِ الرَبي

عِ الطَلقِ ثَغرُ الأُقحُوانِ

Of your smiling lips

And the virgin ideas

وَاِستَخدَمَت عونُ القَوا

في فيكَ أَبكارُ المَعاني

Have been employed to serve you
