تَخفى المُلوكُ لِموسى عِندَ طَلعَتِهِ

مِثلَ النُجومِ لِقَرنِ الشَمسِ إِذ طَلَعا

Kings fade before Musa at the moment of his appearing,

Like stars before the sun's first ray as it rises.

وَلَيسَ خَلقٌ يَرى بَدراً وَطَلعَتَهُ

مِنَ البَرِيَّةِ إِلّا ذَلَّ أَو خَضَعا

And no creature beholds the full moon of his countenance,

From among all creation, except that he is humbled or submits.
