And where is he who restored Islam when it faltered,
And where is he who mended Islam the day it fractured,
And saved the people from the darkness of ignorance?
And rescued the people from a blind, scorching calamity?
The Quraysh said at the dawn of his kingdom rising,
Quraysh spoke on the morning their dominion was established,
"O son of Rabia, surrender the keys!"
Crying, "O son of al-Rabi'!" as they handed over the keys.
So he took charge of the matter, resolute and alone,
So he undertook the command, finding company in his own solitude,
Unwavering in purpose, slayer of warriors.
Unwavering in resolve, a striker of defiant skulls.
When matters grow too narrow for their channels,
For indeed, whenever the paths of affairs become constricted,
The hand of excellence frees each knot.
The hand of al-Fadl unravels every knot within them.
Verily, Rabia and excellence built
Truly, al-Rabi' and al-Fadl have erected
An abode of glory upon Al-Abbas outstretched.
A pavilion of glory, stretched high over al-Abbas.
