جَرى لَكَ مِن هارونَ بِالسَعدِ طائِرُه

إِمامُ اِعتِزامٍ لا تُخافُ بَوادِرُه

Good fortune's bird has flown to you from Harun

From Harun, the bird of good fortune has flown your way,

A leader resolved, his preparations arouse no fears,

A leader of firm resolve, whose sudden impulses need not be feared,

إِمامٌ لَهُ رَأيٌ حَميدٌ وَرَحمَةٌ

مَوارِدُهُ مَحمودَةٌ وَمَصادِرُه

A leader of praiseworthy judgment and mercy

A leader possessing praiseworthy judgment and mercy,

His resources are laudable and so are their sources,

Whose endeavors are laudable in their beginnings and their ends,

هُوَ المَلِكُ المَجبولُ نَفساً عَلى التُقى

مُسَلَّمَةٌ مِن كُلِّ سوءٍ عَساكِرُه

He is a king by nature inclined to piety

He is the King whose soul is naturally molded upon piety,

Protected from all evil are his armies,

Whose armies are kept safe from every harm,

لِتُغمَد سُيوفُ الحَربِ فَاللَهُ وَحدَهُ

وَلَيُّ أَميرِ المُؤمِنينَ وَناصِرُه

So that war's swords may be sheathed, God alone

So let the swords of war be sheathed, for God alone

Is the Guardian of the Commander of the Faithful and his supporter.

Is the Guardian of the Commander of the Faithful, and his Helper.
