يا والِبَ بنُ الحُبابِ يا حَلَقي

لَستُ مِن أَهلِ الزِناءِ فَاِنطَلِقِ

O companion of the beloved, my throat

O Waliba bin al-Hubab, O you of the ring,

I am not of the people of adultery, so depart

I am not of the folk of vice, so go your way,

تُدخِلُ فيهِ الغُرمولَ تولِجُهُ

مِثلَ وُلوجِ المِفتاحِ في الغَلَقِ
