وَلَيسَ عَجيباً إِن طَغَت أَعيُنُ الحِمى
وَقَد أَكسَبَتها الجودَ أَنمُلُكَ العَشرُ
And it's no wonder that the eyes of fever are flooded
When your ten fingers have taught them generosity
إِذا عَلِّمَت كَفّاكَ جَلمَدَهُ النَدى
فَلَيسَ لِعَينٍ لَم يَفِض ماؤُها عُذرُ
If your palm has learned the coldness of dew
No excuse remains for an eye that hasn't overflowed
