O master of the age, whom
the rain itself envies for his generosity,
and who holds a noble virtue no
rain-bringing stars possess, along with the lion’s might!
Do you not see the blossoms, how they have
kindled a fire and made it blaze?
Time itself has awakened for us,
after it had lain asleep.
So seize life, and do not
ever turn back whatever comes from it.
Keep on drinking, and say,
“A free man keeps his promise,”
from Sunday until Sunday,
until Sunday, until Sunday.
