حَبَّذا بِالشَعبِ يَومي
بَينَ وِلدانٍ وَحورِ
I delighted in the people on my day
Among children and fair maidens
وَغُصونُ البانِ وَالوَر
دِ عَلى شاطي النِهورِ
The branches of sweet basil and roses
Swaying on the banks of streams
وَبَدا النَرجِسُ ما بَي
نَ أَقاحٍ مُستَنيرِ
The narcissi appeared among the meadows
Glistening bright
كَقُدودٍ وَخُدودٍ
وَعُيونٍ وَثُغورٍ
Like cheeks and bosoms
And eyes and lips
