يا مُشير الدَولة العليا وَمَن

هُوَ في أَربابِها مِن لُبّها

O counselor of the sublime state and he

Who is the cream of its lords

أَنتَ مَحمود السَجايا وَالعُلى

لَكَ جُند وَالنُهى مِن حزبها

You are of commendable traits and high station

You have an army and authority from its party

أَنتَ رَبّ السَيف وَالأَقلام ما

سَعدت إِلّا بِأَيدي رَبِّها

You are the lord of sword and pens

They never prospered except by the hands of its Lord

بَلغت فيكَ المَعالي شَرَفا

فَتَسامَت وَزَهَت في عجبها

Eminence has reached an honourable height in you

So it admired itself and was amazed at its wonder

وَالتَهاني لَكَ بِالعزِّ أَتَت

تَتَهادى وَالهَنا مِن صَحبِها

And congratulations to you for might have come

Caressing each other, and affection from its comrades

إِنَّ هَذا العام خَير كُلُّهُ

بَرئت أَيّامهُ مِن ذَنبِها

Verily this year is the best of all

Its days absolved from its sins

وَبُدور السَعد في أُفق المُنى

بَرَزَت أَقمارها مِن حجبها

And stars of fortune on the horizon of wishes

Emerged from their concealment

لَستَ بِالعاتب أَعواماً مَضَت

أَيّ خَير لِلوَرى في عَتبها

You don't reproach years gone by

What good is there for the world in reproaching them

سنّة الخَير أَتى تاريخها

حَظّك الإقبال وَالسَعد بِها

The tradition of goodness, its date has come

Your share is prosperity and fortune through it
