1. حَمداً لَكَ اللهمّ يا مَن قَد قَضى

    لِلنَفس بِالتَسليم في حكم القَضا

    Praise be to You, O Allah, O You Who has decreed

    Submission for the soul in the decree of destiny

  2. حَمداً لَكَ اللهمّ يا رَحمن يا

    مُقتَدر يا من عَلى العَرش اِستوى

    Praise be to You O Allah, O Most Merciful, O

    Omnipotent, O You Who rose over the Throne

  3. حَمداً بِهِ نَبلغ عَفواً وَرضى

    يا مَن إِذا ما سُئلَ العَفوَ عَفا

    With praise we seek pardon and pleasure

    O You Who forgives when asked to forgive

  4. يا ساتر العَيب عَلى مَن قَد جَنى

    يا قابل التَوبة مِمَّن قَد عَصى

    O You Who veils sins of those who commits wrong

    O You Who accepts repentance from those who disobey

  5. يا عالِماً بِالسرِّ وَالنَجوى وَما

    أخفى مِن السرِّ وَما تَحت الثَرى

    O You Who knows the secrets and whispers and what

    Is hidden of secrets and what is underneath the ground

  6. يا مَن يَرى مِن تَحت أَذيال الدُجى

    أَنامل النمل عَلى صُمّ الصَفا

    O You sees from beneath the hem of darkness

    The ants’ fingers on the deaf rock

  7. يا خالق الخلق ومُحصيها ومَن

    يعلمُ ما تُخفي وما تُبدي وما

    O Creator of creation Who counts them and Who

    Knows what they conceal and what they disclose and what

  8. يا مالكَ الملكِ ويا ذا الطولِ يا

    ذا القهرِ يا ذا العزّ يا ذا الكِبريا

    O Owner of the kingdom, O You of majesty, O

    You of subjugation, O You of honor, O You of greatness

  9. يا كاشف الهمّ الّذي أَوهى القُوى

    يا مُبرءَ الداء الّذي أعيا الأُسا

    O You Who relieves worries that weakens strength

    O You Who cures illness that wears out the bones

  10. يا مَن عَفا عن آدمٍ لَمّا عَصى

    ثُمّ اِجتباهُ وحَباه وهَدى

    O You Who forgave Adam when he disobeyed

    Then chose him, granted him, and guided him

  11. يا مَن بهِ نوح عَلى الفلك نَجا

    لَما طَغى الماءُ على أَعلى الرُبى

    O You through Whom Nuh survived on the ship

    When water overflowed the highest of heights

  12. يا مُنقِذاً خليلَه حينَ اِلتَجا

    مُحتَسِباً إلَيهِ من كَيد العِدا

    O You Who rescued His friend when he sought refuge

    Seeking reward from Him from the enemy’s scheme

  13. يا مَن فَدى إِسحاق بالذبح وَقد

    كانَ ذَبيحاً ما لَدَيهِ مِن فدى

    O You Who ransomed Ishaq with slaughter while he

    Was to be slaughtered with nothing for his ransom

  14. يا مُنجياً لوطاً وَقَد أَسرى دُجى

    بِأَهله وَاللَيل مَسدول الغطا

    O You Who rescued Lut while darkness donned its gown

    With his family, and the night spread its cover

  15. يا مَن حَبا يَعقوب بالبُشرى وَقَد

    شَفى بِها عَينيه إِذ قال عَسى

    O You Who granted Ya’qub the good news, which

    Cured his eyes when he said “it’s possible”

  16. يا مَن حَبا يوسف عزّاً وَغِنىً

    وَعِصمةً بَعدَ العَنا مِمّا جَرى

    O You Who granted Yusuf honor, wealth

    And protection after worry from what had occurred

  17. يا مُهلِكاً عاداً بِريحٍ صَرصَرٍ

    وَمنجياً هوداً نَجاة المُرتَضى

    O You Who destroyed ‘Aad with clamorous wind

    And delivered Hud with the deliverance of the pleased

  18. يا مَن مِن الصَيحة نَجّى صالِحاً

    فَضلاً وَأَردى مِن ثَمودٍ من عَتا

    O You Who saved Salih from the scream

    Of preference, and destroyed those of Thamud who transgressed

  19. يا مُنقِذاً ذا النُون مِن غَمٍّ نَما

    في ظُلُمات البَحر لَمّا أَن دَعا

    O You Who rescued the companion of the fish from grief

    When he supplicated in the darkness of the sea

  20. يا مَن شَفى أَيّوب مِن ضرٍّ بِهِ

    حينَ دَعاهُ وَلَهُ ردّ الغِنى

    O You Who cured Ayyub from harm through which

    When he called upon Him, his wealth was returned

  21. يا مَن بِهِ فازَ شعيب وَنَجا

    إِذ أَهلَكت مَدينَ صَيحَةُ الرَدى

    O You through Whom Shu’ayb succeeded and survived

    When the scream destroyed Madyan and those who returned

  22. يا مَن هَدى مُوسى إِلى النار كَما

    قَدَّرَ أَن يَلقى عَلى النار هُدى

    O You Who guided Musa to the fire predetermined

    For him to find guidance at the fire

  23. يا مَن بِهِ موسى نَجا مِن كُلِّ ما

    أَجمعه فِرعون لَمّا أَن طَغى

    O You through Whom Musa survived from all

    That Fir'awn mustered when he tyrannized

  24. يا مَن إِلَيهِ خَرَّ دَاود وَقَد

    أَنابَ حَتّى نالَ عَفواً وَرِضى

    O You to Whom Dawud submitted, so he attained

    Pardon and pleasure when he repented

  25. يا مَن حَبا الملك سليمان وَقَد

    دانَ لَهُ الطائر مَع وَحش الفَلا

    O You Who granted King Sulayman so to him submitted

    The birds and the beasts of prey

  26. يا مَن لَهُ قَد سَخّر الريح إِلى

    أَن جَرت الريح لِأَمره رخا

    O You to Whom the wind was subservient that

    The wind blew gently by His command

  27. يا سامِعاً مِن زكرياء النِدا

    وَواهباً يحيى لَهُ خَير فَتى

    O You Who heard the call

    of Zakariyya and granted Yahya – the best youth

  28. يا واهبَ الحكم ليحيى في الصِبا

    وَمانِحاً لَهُ حَناناً وَتُقى

    O You Who granted judgement to Yahya in his childhood

    And favored him with care and piety

  29. يا مُؤتياً إِلياس مِنهُ رَحمَة

    حَيث لَهُ العلم اللَدُنّيّ حَبا

    O You Who gave Elias mercy

    As innate knowledge was divinely bestowed unto him

  30. يا مَن بِهِ شعيا وَأَرميا اِحتَمى

    يا مَن عَلى يوشع قَد رَدَّ ذُكا

    O You in Whom Shu'ayb and Jeremiah took refuge

    O You Who restored for Joshua his memory

  31. يا مانِح اِليسعَ وَذا الكفل عَلى

    قَومِهما صَبراً بِهِ نالا الثَنا

    O You Who granted Elijah and al-Yasa' patience over

    Their people, through which they gained praise

  32. يا رافِعاً عيسى إِلَيهِ عِندَما

    أَضمَرت الأَعدا لَهُ كُلَّ الأَذى

    O You Who raised ‘Isa to Yourself when

    The enemies harboured harm and hurt for him

  33. يا مَن حَمى أَحمد بالغار كما

    قَد رَدَّ مَسعى مَن تَغشّاه سُدى

    O You Who protected Ahmad in the cave as

    You foiled the scheme of those darkness clouded

  34. بِجاههم أدعوكَ يا رَبّ فَلا

    تَجعَل رَجائي بِكَ مَفصوم العُرى

    Through their status I call upon You, my Lord, so do not

    Cut off my hopes in You, without ties

  35. بِفَضل كُلّ اِسم دَعاك الأَنبيا

    بِهِ بِما فيه مِن السرِّ اِختَبى

    Through the grace of every name the prophets called You

    Therein is mystery hidden, secrets kept

  36. يا باسطَ اليدين بالرحمةِ يا

    مَن قَسَّم الأَرزاق ما بَين الوَرى

    O You Who extends His Hands with mercy, O

    You Who apportions rizq between the worlds

  37. يا مَن يُجيب دَعوة المُضطَرّ ها

    قَد وَقف العَبد عَلى باب الرَجا

    O You Who answers call of distressed, here

    The servant stands at the door of hope

  38. مَولاي ما لِلعَبد إِلّا بابك ال

    أَكرَم يا رَبّ السَماوات العُلى

    O my Master, the servant has nothing

    But Your noble door, O Lord of highest heaven

  39. مَولاي إِنّي عَبدك العاصي الَّذي

    أَورده الجَهل مَواريد الرَدى

    O my Master, I’m Your sinful servant whom

    Ignorance misguided into returning to sin

  40. مَولاي جَمِّلنيَ بِالستر الَّذي

    سَترت سرَّ الغَيب فيهِ فَاِختَفى

    O my Master, beautify me with the veil with which

    You veiled the unseen secrets wherein it is hidden

  41. مَولاي وَاِحفَظنيَ في نَفسي وَفي

    ديني وَفي أَهلي وَمالي وَالحجا

    O my Master, protect me in myself, my

    Religion, family, wealth, and pilgrimage

  42. مَولاي هَب لي خَير ما مَلَّكتني

    وَزِد عَطائي مِنكَ غُفران الخَطا

    O my Master, grant me the best of what You possess

    And increase Your bounty upon me with pardoning sins

  43. مَولاي وَفّقني وَأَرشدني إِلى

    ما فيهِ لي خَير عَلى وفق الرِضى

    O my Master, make me successful and guide me to

    What is best for me by decree content

  44. مَولايَ حَبّب فيّ مَن أَحببتهم

    فَضلاً وَشَرّفني بِحُبّ المُصطَفى

    O my Master, make me love those whom You love

    By grace, and ennoble me with loving the Chosen One

  45. مَولاي جد لي مِنكَ بِالصَبر عَلى

    ما أَنا فيهِ مِن تَباريح الأسى

    O my Master, help me to show patience for

    What I face of wounds of sorrow

  46. مَولاي إِنّ الكرب أَوهى جلدي

    وَالسجن قَد أَحرم أَجفاني الكَرى

    O my Master, hardship has weakened my skin

    And prison deprived my eyes of sleep

  47. مَولاي جُد لي مِنكَ بِالأَمن فَلا

    أَخشى العِدى ضرّاً وَإِن أَبدوا قلى

    O my Master, show me safety from You, so I

    Do not fear enemies harming me even if they try

  48. مَولاي أَنقذني مِن السجنِ عَلى

    أَحسن حال واِكسني العِزَّ حُلى

    O my Master, deliver me from prison in

    The best state, and clothe me with robes of honor

  49. بِجاهِ خَير الخَلق طَه المُجتَبى

    بِالآل بِالأَصحاب أَقمار الهُدى

    By the status of best of creation, Taha the Chosen

    by the family, companions; guiding moons

  50. بِالأَصفيا وَمَن بِهم نالَ الصفا

    بِالأَوليا وَمَن لَهُم مِنكَ الولا

    By the elite, those by whom neared purity

    By saints, those for whom from You is loyalty

  51. بِمُحكمِ التَنزيل بِالتَوارة بِال

    إِنجيل بِالصُحف بِأَسرار النبا

    By Decisive Scripture, Torah, Gospel

    Scriptures, secrets of prophesy

  52. بِنُور عَين الذات في غَين الخَفا

    بِمظهرِ الإِحسان في لا كَيفَ لا

    By the light of Essence in the Essence of the unseen

    By disclosure of utmost kindness in no “how” no “where”

  53. بِالعَرش بِالفَرش بِما فَوق السَما

    وات بِما في الأَرض أَو تَحت الثَرى

    By the Throne, the mat, above the heavens,

    What’s inside earth, underneath the ground

  54. يا رَبّ بِالأَسماء نَدعوك وَبالص

    صِفات وَالأَوصاف يا غَوث الوَرى

    O Lord, by names we call You, by traits

    And attributes, O succour of the worlds

  55. يا رَبّ إِنّا قَد دَعَوناك كَما

    أَمَرتَنا يا رَبّ فاِقبل الدُعا

    O Lord, we surely call You as

    You ordered, O Lord, so accept the call

  56. يا رَبّ إن نَدعُ سِواك لَم يُجب

    دُعاءنا مِنهُ سِوى رجع الصَدى

    O Lord, if we call other than You, none

    Answers our call but the returning echo

  57. يا رَبّ إِنّا لَكَ نَشكو ما بِنا

    مِن شدّةٍ يا مَن إِلَيهِ المُشتَكى

    O Lord, to You we complain of our

    State, O You to Whom all complain

  58. يا رَبّ قَد ضاقَ بِنا الأَمر وَقَد

    هَدَّ القوى مِنّا فَلا حَول وَلا

    O Lord, matters straitened around us and

    Strength has weakened for us, no might no power

  59. يا رَبّ أَعداك لَنا قَد أَضمَروا

    كَيداً فَخَيّب سُوءَ مَسعاهُم سُدى

    O Lord, enemies plotted evil

    So foil their wicked scheme, may it be destroyed

  60. يا رَبّ أَعداؤُكَ قَد جارَت عَلى

    أُمّة مَحبوبك طَه المُجتَبى

    O Lord, Your enemies oppressed

    The community of Your beloved, Taha the Chosen

  61. يا رَبّ خطبٌ قَد دَهى الأُمّة في

    أَوطانِها ظُلمته تغشى السنا

    O Lord, calamities that darkened the nation

    In its lands, its darkness covers gloam

  62. يا رَبّ فاِصرفهُ بِما شئت كَما

    تَشاءُ وَاِبعَث لِأَعادينا البلا

    O Lord, so turn it away as You will

    And send our enemies tribulation

  63. يا رَبّ هَبنا راحَةً مِنهُ فَقَد

    نِلنا بِما أَقلَقنا مِنهُ العيا

    O Lord, grant us relief from it, for indeed

    We gained from disturbing us weariness

  64. يا رَبّ هَذا الكَرب إن دامَ بِنا

    طالَ تَماديه عَلى طُول المَدى

    O Lord, if this hardship stays with us

    Prolonging its spread in lengthy course

  65. يا رَبّ لا تُشمت بِنا الأَعداءَ يا

    أَجلَّ مَن يُرجى لِتَبليغ المُنى

    O Lord, let not enemies gloat over us O

    Most hopeful when hopes are to be attained

  66. يا مَن هُوَ القَهّار مُردي مَن طَغى

    نَظير عادٍ وَثَمودٍ وَسبا

    O You Who subdues tyrants, vanquishes aggressors

    Like ‘Aad, Thamud and Saba

  67. يا رَبّ لَم يَبق لَنا مِن ناصرٍ

    سِواكَ يا ذا البَطش عزّاً والقوى

    O Lord, none remains for us as victors

    But You, O You of firm grasp, honor, might

  68. يا رَبّ زادَ الغَمُّ وَالهَمّ بِنا

    وَالسِجنُ أصمانا وَقَد طالَ الثوا

    O Lord, worry and grief with us intensifies

    Prison made us deaf, chains grew long

  69. يا رَبّ إِنّ اليُسر بَعدَ العُسر قَد

    وَعَدتنا فيهِ فَأَنعِم بِالوَفا

    O Lord, ease after hardship You promised

    So bestow loyalty in fulfilling

  70. يا رَبّ عامِلنا بِما أَنتَ لَه

    أَهلٌ وَجُد بِالعَفو وَاِستُر ما مَضى

    O Lord, You accustom us to kindness from You

    So be true to Your habits, O Treasure of Giving

  71. يا رَبّ قَد عَوَّدتنا اللُطف بِنا

    فَجُد بِعاداتك يا كنز العَطا

    O Lord, we have none but You as refuge, O You

    From whom relief in times of distress is sought

  72. يا رَبّ ما لَنا سِواك مَلجأ

    يا مَن لَه في كُلّ هَولٍ يُلتَجا

    O Lord, on us the breach widened without

    Mending, and space is strait though vast

  73. يا رَبّ لا تَجعَل لَنا مِن حاجةٍ

    إِلّا إِلَيك وَاِكفِنا شَرّ السِوى

    O Lord, grant us relief by which we

    Escape breadth of worry and narrow circumstance

  74. يا رَبّ هَبنا رَحمَةً مِنكَ بِها

    نَدخُل مِن حرزك في خَير حِمى

    O Lord, patience is bitter in taste though

    Sweetest of fruits it bears if patiently borne

  75. يا رَبّ ما لِلمُذنِبين راحِمٌ

    سِواكَ يا مَن هوَ رَحمَن السَما

    How impatient is man and how resolute

    In seeking water when assailed by thirst

  76. يا رَبّ إِن لَم تَرحَمِ المَلهوف مَن

    يَرحَم يا رَحيم ملتاع الحَشا

    We by our world are travelers in night’s gloom

    And in morning men thank time passed by

  77. يا رَبّ إِن لَم تَرحَم الأَطفالَ وَال

    عيال فَالوَيل لَهُم مِمَّن عَدا

    Man between misguidance and guidance

    Seeks so either for bliss or misery

  78. يا رَبّ ما لِلخائِفين مَأمَن

    سِوى حِمى حصنك يا سامي الذرى

    May the striver persist reciting

    That not but what he worked for can man attain

  79. يا رَبّ أَنتَ العَون وَالغَوث لَنا

    وَالمُرتَجى في شدَّةٍ أَو في رَخا

    So by his world man presented or held back

    His efforts shall indeed be seen

  80. يا رَبّ فينا اِتّسع الخرق بِلا

    رَتق وَقَد ضاقَ بِنا رَحب الفَضا

    What have I to do with world by which I seek wealth?

    No riches but richness of heart from it is wealth

  81. يا رَبّ هَبنا فَرَجاً نَنجو بِهِ

    مِن سعةِ الهَمّ وَضيق المُنتدى

    What have I to do with abode all harm

    Damned - I have no she-camel there nor wish

  82. يا رَبّ إِنّ الصَبر مُرٌّ طَعمُهُ

    وَإِن يَكُن آجله حُلو الجَنى

    That which of its wealth has delighted me has come and gone

    Neither gladdens nor saddles me what has passed

  83. ما أعجل المَرءَ وَما ألجَّهُ

    في طَلب الماء إِذا أَدلى الدلا

    It suffices of it wellness of religion and pilgrimage

    As all game lies in confines of Lord’s land

  84. نَحنُ بِدُنيانا سراة في دُجىً

    وَفي الصَباح يَحمد القَوم السُرى

    Youth blames Time foolishly, unaware

    That Time but morn and eve all the same

  85. وَالمَرء ما بَين ضلالٍ وَهُدى

    يَسعى فَإِمّا لِنَعيم أَو شَقا

    If the youth attains not his wishes

    Let him recite verses of one who said: Not all

  86. فَليتَما الساعيَ يَتلو ذاكِراً

    أَن لَيسَ لِلإِنسان إِلّا ما سَعى

    Can he with past days take heed?

    They passed as beacons of gloom

  87. فَالمَرءُ في دُنياه إِن قَدَّمَ أَو

    أَخَّرَ إِنّ سَعيَهُ سَوفَ يُرى

    Did he see how unto them came decay ?

    Oh would that he knew! Has blindness afflicted his eye?

  88. ما لي وَلِلدُنيا بِها أَبغي الغِنى

    كُلُّ غِنى غَير غِنى القَلب عنا

    The soul excuses its desires though

    Its excuse when illness defeats cure is nil

  89. ما لي وَدار كُلّها مَحض أَذىً

    تَبّاً لَها لا ناقَتي فيها وَلا

    Where are the vanished who reigned and ruled the land

    They warn although they warnings did deny

  90. ما سَرَّني مِن مالِها ما قَد أَتى

    كلّا وَلا آسى عَلى ما قَد مَضى

    Realized I all to perishing fates

    Even perishing perishes; only God remains

  91. حَسبي بِها صحّةُ دين وَحجاً

    فَإِنَّ كُلَّ الصَيد في جَوف الفرى

    O Inheritor of earth and whoso therein

    To resurrect them at Gathering without doubt

  92. يُعاتِبُ الدَهرَ الفَتى جَهلاً وَما

    يَعلَم أَنّ الدَهرَ صُبح وَمسا

    O Allah, plant in one whose heart

    Contains vestige of mercy our deliverance

  93. إِن لَم يَنَل ما يَتَمنّاهُ الفَتى

    أَنشد قَولَ بَعضِهم ما كُلُّ ما

    And send blessings, O Lord, upon

    Your beloved Chosen, by all names called sublime

  94. أَلَيسَ لِلمَرء اِعتِبار بِالأُلى

    مَضوا وَقَد كانوا مَصابيح الدُجى

    Muhammad, noblest spirit for heaven

    Honored messenger to tread upon this earth

  95. هلّا رَأى كَيف بِهم حَلّ البِلى

    يا لَيت شِعري أَبعينيه عَمى

    And upon his family, companions, loved ones, and

    Helpers, supporters - guiding full moons

  96. تُعلّل النَفس أَمانيها وَما

    تَعليلها إِن غَلب الداءُ الدَوا

    And those who follow them of virtue’s folk and those

    Thereafter of the God-fearing ones

  97. أَين الأُلى شادوا وَسادوا في الوَرى

    بانوا فَكانوا عبرة لذي النُهى

    And whoever by him mighty became Islam and whoever

    For religion of truth was sanctuary

  98. أَيقَنت أَن لا شَيء إِلّا لِلفنا

    حَتّى الفَنا يَفنى وَلِلّه البقا

    Most splendid greeting sans limit

    Purest benediction sans end

  99. يا وارث الأَرض وَمَن فيها وَمَن

    يَبعثهم في الحَشر مِن غَير مرا

    Dawn glowed, night waned, and sunlight

    Of morn arose in risen horizon

  100. أَتِح لَنا اللَهمّ مَن في قَلبه

    مِن أَثر الرَحمة ما فيهِ النَجا

    Birds in leaves of refuge trilled praising them

    Expressing thereby fragrance of their name

  101. وَصلِّ يا رَبّ مُسلِّماً عَلى

    حَبيبك المُختار أَسما مَن سَما

    Sun never set nor night darkened

    Nor star nor sunbeam dawned

  102. محمّد أَشرَف راقٍ لِلسَما

    أَكرَم مَبعوث عَلى الأَرض مَشى

    Nor lightning blazed in highest climb

    By which rain clouds watered, gave them life

  103. وَالآل وَالأَصحاب وَالأَحباب وَال

    أَنصار وَالأَتباع أَقمار الهُدى

    I will praise You, O Lord, for what You decreed

  104. وَمَن يَليهم من أُولي الفَضل وَمن

    بَعدهُم قَد كانَ مِن أَهل التُقى

  105. وَمَن بِهِ الإِسلام قَد عَزَّ وَمَن

    كانَ لِدينِ الحَقّ في الخلق حمى

  106. أَبهى سلامٍ ما لَهُ حَدٌّ تَلا

    أَزكى صَلاةٍ ما لَها مِن مُنتَهى

  107. ما لاحَ فَجر وَتَولّى داجر

    وَأَشرَقَت مِن أُفُقٍ شَمسُ ضُحى

  108. ما غَرَّدَت في ورقٍ وُرقُ الحِمى

    فَأعرَبَت عَن طيب ذكراهم ثَنا

  109. ما غَرّبت شَمسٌ وَما لَيلٌ دَجا

    ما لاحَ نجمٌ أَو سَنا صُبح أَضا

  110. أَو لَمعَ البَرق بِأَعلى رامَةٍ

    فَجادَها الغَيث وَحَيّاها الحَيا

  111. أَوفاه بِالحَمد لِساني قائِلاً

    حَمداً لَكَ اللَهُمّ يا مَن قَد قَضى
