لَمّا أَنار لَديك بَدر سُعودهِ

Praise be to You, O God! Indeed, our prince—

when the full moon of his good fortune shone before You—

خَضعت لَهُ الآساد حَتّى أَنَّها

خَضعت لَهُ الآساد حَتّى أَنَّها

أَمسى يَقود بِها أَقَلّ عَبيدهِ

أَمسى يَقود بِها أَقَلّ عَبيدهِ

the lions bowed to him, so completely that

the least of his servants came to lead them.
