الشَمس غابَت بِبرج الثَور واِحتَجَبَت

وَقارن الثَورَ مِن وَحش الفَلا الضبعُ

The sun set in Taurus' sign and was veiled

Taurus was confronted by the beast of empty tracts, the hyena

فَقُلت أَحسَنت يا هَذا مشاكلة

إِن الطُيور عَلى أَشكالِها تَقعُ

So I said, “Well done, O this one, in (your) rivalry,

Indeed, birds fall according to their forms.”
